Happy Hitler's Birthday

Mon Apr 20, 2009, 10:05 AM
  • Mood: Tired
...and National Marajuana Day. (if that's how you spell it)
ANYWAY. Update stuff. Can't be a lot 'cause I'm jacking school computers and stuff.
...
Basically, life's kicking me in the face. I'm pretty sure I failed an Anatomy test last week, my home computer isn't working at ALL, YouTube isn't letting login OR send me my password no matter how many times I send a request for it, I'm sore as hell (but for a good reason), and I haven't had any coffee for 3 days. >____>;
...
Well, enough negative stuff. Guess what I did on Friday night? (Shut up, Nicole. I know what you're thinking, and NO. Shut UP. I know you're laughing.) April has been a month of firsts (again. Nicole. Shut up.), and I went to my first concert. My friend KatanaUser convinced me to come to her church where a lot of local bands were playing, and it was awesome. Around 8 or 9, we got hungry, so we ran through a neighborhood and a busy intersection to head down to the local Kroger and grab some food, which ended up being Twix, Sprite, and beef jerky. ;w;
I ALSO participated in my first mosh pit, and it was AWESOME. At furst I was really reluctant to do it because I was afraid of looking like a total idiot, but after watching a few other dancers, I figured out the moves well enough to go out and try it. And it was amazing. Not to sound cheezy, but it was really a fun life experiance. When you're out there and moshing, there's nothing but you and the music. You're going too fast to pay attention to anyone else. To watch the other guys out there was pretty amazing. Every movement was like a restrained attack, a spurt of barely contained power. The person and music are in perfect sync, and you can't help but grin and watch. I got hit several times, I'm still sore, I got ran over, but it's all good. I had a great time. And even though most of the bands were screamo and metal, they were singing about God. But there was one thing that really shocked me, and it was that at the end, a fight almost broke out. But even that wasn't it. The band that was playing actually STOPPED. They stopped, and the lead singer was all like "Dude, what's going on? Why are you fighting? You're better than that, man. C'mon!" I wasn't expecting that at ALL. And it was...really cool, y'know? Cause usually when you think of metal and screamo, you usually think of devil horns and people screaming about how they're gunna kill somebody or shoot the universe, but this...this was awesome. It was really amazing that they could take a music genre like that and turn it into something that could praise the Lord.
Well, I'll let you guys go. Have a good one and God bless. Pray for my computer. It's sick. XD;;;

I would gamble anything, suffer anything
If the pain would be felt more quickly
That flying form
Its brilliance, its wounds
You should see the light
You should have seen the light . . .

Well, I was laughing (you know me WAY too well. hehe) until you said you moshed. I am now too jealous to laugh. Although I don't know how I would even get IN to a show about God... They'd probably take a good look at me and then damn my soul to hell, but STILL. Damn you.
